Hello generous folks of Monstro City! Remember the school in Malawi that we're sponsoring? I have good news! Construction is under way and we received a photo from the folks at Mary's Meals showing the progress that's being made.
It's looking good! They expect it to be finished by mid-June. Mary's Meals sets up daily meals in schools for over 400,000 children in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. The kitchen we're sponsoring will be a place where parents will gather each day to prepare food for the children. The best part is that when the cooking is done, the space can be used for classrooms. These kitchens ensure that kids who would normally have to go out to work or attend school hungry can attend classes.
